All the Relevant Facts Regarding the DDR Memory
It is a misconception amongst most of the computer users that the system performance can be increased by the help of CPU matched with video and audio card, motherboard etc. But they forget the most essential part of the system i.e. memory. Many of the users don’t have any idea regarding the DDR memory. To assist such kind of people here is brief introduction of the DDR memory.
The first question that arises in the mind of the computer users is why to go for the DDR memory. The main reason is that DDR memory which is also known as Double Data Rate is based on the technology of Static-Dynamic RAM (SDRAM). The reason behind the popularity of the DDR Ram is that it has double the speed of SDRAM and also the transfer of data takes place on both the edges of the clock. The data can be transferred at high speed of 2133Mb per second.

Other reason behind the popularity of the DDR memory is that it consumes very less power as compared to the SDRAM. The operational VCC for the DDR Ram is 2.5VCC which is very low as compared to the VCC of SDRAM.
